Move over Lululemon, there's a new Canadian in town. Joe Fresh, let's call it the Uniqlo of the North, is making its grand entrance into the American fast-fashion market with a brand new store smack in the center of Fifth Avenue. 510 Fifth Avenue to be exact. A stone's thrown from the New York Public Library and litterally a block from competitors H&M and Zara, the store is poised for success.

I firmly believe that a chic wardrobe is a balance of high-end luxury pieces mixed with affordable mass market fashion items. It says, I can afford designer but don't care to show off. I am effortless, current and a la mode by nature. Investing in a few key pieces, especially accessories, and pairing them with cheaper, trendy items is a great way to create a modern yet classy outfit without looking cheap. A designer bag (old, vintage or new) and a quality shoe, worn with a stylish dress from Joe Fresh or your favorite fast-fashion emporium will have you looking like a million bucks.
