When I was leaving Barneys on Saturday I was stopped in my tracks by the stunning dresses in the Calvin Klein Collection store next door. So simple, so timeless, so elegant. Off white gowns with shiny metal straps to kick off the Pre-Spring season. This is what makes Creative Director Francisco Costa such a moving force in the fashion industry today - season after season he is able to reinvent the clean lines and deconstructed modernity that has made Calvin Klein one of the the most successful and widely respected designer brands in history. And as much as I like my glitter and ruffles, Francisco's take on CK exemplifies that you don't need all of those extras to be perceived as a strong, sexy and feminine woman.
