SPRING'S UBER TREND TAKES ON THE GLOBES

What emerged in early 2011 as loud burst of colors in the form of green skinny jeans and yellow shift dresses has snowballed into full blown color blocking mania for Spring 2012. It's color here, there and everywhere - layered, neon, printed, and just what the average New Yorker needs to add some pep into their dark, dreary wardrobe. But did anyone expect it to translate onto the red carpet? Like the film roles they were supporting, some actresses nailed it and others left a little to be desired...but the nomination rarely comes without taking the risk.
