Is it any wonder that Karl Lagerfeld named Paris-based Colombian designer Haider Ackermann as his only potential successor at Chanel? Ackermann's trademark may not be the boucle jacket but he is quickly gaining the respect and following of the world's most notable designers and trend-setters. His use of rich, colorful fabrics draped uniquely around a woman's figure encompasses both a sense of history and modern simplicity. Check out Tilda, his greatest champion, and new devotee Janet Jackson, both rocking modern, elegant Ackermann at Cannes. Beautiful!
